Candle & Reeds Safety
Please observe the following precautions when using LeRêve Candles:
- Use a suitable candle holder, tray or coaster when in use to protect benchtops or furniture heat or spills.
- Allow Candle to burn until the wax melts to the outside edge of the jar, which can prevent tunnelling.
- For optimal Candle life, burn for up to three hours at a time, then extinguish and trim the wick to 6mm before re-lighting.
- Never move the Candle when lit or when wax is liquefied.
- Avoid draughts and vents as this may lead to a less effective and uneven burn.
- To extinguish a lit candle, gently blow out the flame ensuring minimal disturbance to the liquid wax. Better still, use the LeRêve Wick Dipper which coats the wick with a layer of protective wax and prevents smelly smoke overpowering the beautiful fragrance.
- Soy wax is biodegradable and water soluble – clean up spills, drips and jars with hot soapy water.
- Keep Candles in a cool place out of direct sunlight to avoid colour fading and sweating as soy wax Candles have a lower melting temperature than other types of wax candles.
- Discontinue use when there is less than 1cm of wax left in the jar as it has reached its life span.
Please observe the following precautions when using LeRêve Reed Diffusers:
- Be careful when placing a Reed Diffuser on a wooden surface. If spilled, the fragrance oil may stain the surface so we recommend using a mat or coaster.
- Keep Reed Diffuser out of reach of children or pets and avoid moving when seal has been removed. If liquid is spilled, clean immediately to avoid surface staining.
- Reeds should not be re-used with a different fragrance. Once reeds have been used for one particular fragrance, that scent will have absorbed into the reeds and if mixed with a new fragrance could produce an undesirable scent combination.
- Avoid using Reed Diffusers in a room prone to high dust collection. If the reeds become clogged with dust they will no longer emit strong fragrance and may need replacing.
